We mourn our fallen comrade Patrick Baillargeon, Guitarist & Friend, who passed away suddenly from heart failure on February 15th, 2026AD. Born March 25th 1962, our friend and one of Mindshaft’s two guitarists, Patrick was an affable and friendly human as well as a talented Mindshaft guitarist, easily brought to laughter though with a wry sense of humor. One of the original four members of the band to go to Kazakhstan, Patrick played rhythm guitar on the debut album “Shift” and the second album “Mindshaft Over Matter”, the first Mindshaft album available on CD at Tower Records. He was missed on the third offering “Turning On The Moonlight”, the unreleased “Glimpses Of Different Realities”, and the EP collection “American Rock Hymns for Mauling Evil Mullahs”, but returned to perform – as “Patty B” – all guitar duties on Mindshaft’s most-recent 2003 album “Blue Dream” which showcased his talents as a lead guitarist. A memorial service was held in Tyson’s Corner VA on February 23rd, during a brutal winter storm that only kept a few of us away, where these photos came from.
